Born on the 25th of February 1979, Morakinyo Olorunfemi Akinkoye, popularly known as Moraks, was the third child to Engr. and Mrs Michael Akinkoye.
He attended Estate Nursery and Primary School, Ilupeju where he had his nursery and primary education up to primary three and then transferred to University of Lagos Staff School (ULSS).
He moved from ULSS to Nigerian Navy School, Ibara, Abeokuta, Ogun State. In his 2nd year, he left Abeokuta and changed schools to Federal Home Science Secondary School. He finished his secondary education at King's College,Lagos and passed his GCSEs' in flying colours.
He was then admitted to Obafemi Awolowo University Ife to study Estate Management and later transferred to University of Lagos to continue his studies in Estate management where he graduated with honours.
Moraks had a wide contact base and made friends with all sorts of people - the sane and some we're not so sure about (just joking). He never put people down and loved to make them happy. He was an easy going guy and loved to have fun. He couldn’t stand injustice of any sort and would think nothing of taking on the person/authority violating the rights of others even when this posed a danger to himself.
He was a staunch Manchester Utd fan and would defend them fiercely to the end if need be. He wasn’t afraid to kick a ball himself.
Moraks had a sense of leadership and showed this by embarking on a few projects including the now defunct club "Quest", a philanthropical social club in the University of Lagos, Nigeria, which he and his brother Modupe created in reaction to the diminishing 'effizy' of existing clubs in their University. He was also a founding member of flourishing Unilag Social club "ROPP".
This Akin’s child was full of grace – not afraid to fight for what is right, not afraid to bless others with his words, actions and presence. He was friendly with the ladies too, and to all of them – past, present and future, and even though a few hearts were broken along the way, you know deep down that he respected and cherished each one of you as friends.
Darling brother of Mojisola and inseparable partner to Modupe, big brother to Mobolawa and mentor to Mojoyinola, amongst other things.
He will sorely missed by his parents, siblings, aunts and uncles, cousins, grandmum, nephews and nieces and of course, friends.
